Compound words are formed when two or more words are combined to create a new word with a specific meaning.

In this activity, the teacher scrolls through the PDF pages, revealing one word from each set at a time. Students must guess the common word that can combine with all three given words to form meaningful compound words. Teachers can reward more points to students who figure out the common word faster.

The resource includes 10 sets tailored to the vocabulary of A2-B1 learners and 10 sets for B2-C1 levels (with most of the solutions overlapping).

Warning: While the task is simple, it can be deceptively challenging.
