Fox - Margaret Wild - Shared Reading Unit with Literature Circle Tasks

This bundle contains a comprehensive shared reading unit of work based on the text “Fox” by Margaret Wild. It contains a background to the text about introduced species and the ecological impact on the introduction of foxes to Australia. I used this text to integrate to a Science unit - “From Friend to Feral”.

Following the background information is a detailed page-by-page shared reading unit on “Fox” with literal and inferential comprehension questions; as well as teacher’s notes and discussion prompts.

The shared reading component of the text was one week’s duration.

The second item is a set of Literature Circle activities based on this text. All activities have a literacy basis, but may also incorporate Creative and Visual Arts, Science or Mathematics.
