An engaging mystery set in a French Christmas market for your pupils to solve whilst practising their French language skills and increasing their seasonal vocabulary and cultural knowledge. Each completed activity provides pupils with a clue to enable them to eliminate people from the list of suspects and ultimately find the villain.
The pupil booklet sets the scene and offers five different Christmas and Christmas market themed activities:
- Match the French Christmas vocabulary to the pictures
- Categorise products sold at a Christmas market
- Matching traditional French Christmas items to their English meanings
- Find the hidden message in the gingerbread hearts
- Find the odd one out.
Pupils may need access to a dictionary or device to help them with vocabulary and identifying the French Christmas items.
A teacher guide booklet is included with the answers, tips and the story conclusion.
