These 6 resources are aimed at helping students to revise the use of Past (perfect and imperfect), Present and Future tenses, with different persons. All resources can be adapted or extended beyond their main planned purpose.
1) Key Grammar Help - information sheet with useful tense indicator vocab, negative formation, partitive article and prepositions. Good as a reference and for revision purposes.
2) Recognising Time Frames - reminder of clues to look for to identify tenses. Then, sentences to read and decide which tense in. Can then translate and/or adapt.
3) Starter 3 Tense Grid - verbs in all 3 tenses. Students to colour code each tense and highlight them in the grid. Then can translate or as extension for most able, can put into a sentence.
4) Starter 3 Tenses Sentences - a number of French sentences to read and write if Present, Past or Future. Again, can translate into English and/or adapt.
5)Language Sheet Tenses etc Mindmap - can be enlarged onto A3. Students complete examples of verbs and words under various headings. This can then be used as a resource to help with Writing and Speaking tasks.
6)Tenses Translation Sentences - past, present and future tense sentences in French to be translated into English and then English sentences to go into French.
Could also be adapted to extract connectives, opinions, tense indicators etc. Perhaps change some words to synonyms or antonyms for more able.
