A series of collage tasks and experiments based on concealing identity.
Students are challenged to use a variety of collage techniques to conceal the identity of human faces in photographs and magazines.
Over four lessons, students will create a four panelled concertina piece exploring the following collage techniques:
• Remove and replace
• Fragment
• Weave
• Stitch
What’s included?
• Opening slide demonstrating completed pieces
• Instructions to fold a four panelled concertina
• A series of useful examples for each task to inform and inspire
• An extension task based on black-out poetry artist Tom Phillips
‘Concealment’ is one of my favourite GCSE projects. If you love this theme too, be sure to check out my whole range of ‘Concealment’ resources. All tasks and PowerPoint presentations have been designed and created by myself.
I hope you and your students enjoy them!
