The aim of ‘sixqs6’ is to make it easier for teachers to plan for students to practice skills but also show progress and improvements. It gives students an opportunity to practice skills, exam style assessments and DIRT (direct improvement and reflection time) worksheets.

Ordering integers (negative and positive)
Mental calculations
Written calculations
Exam style question – place value
Exam style question – calculations in context
You can use these worksheets in a number of ways. I personally use them as lesson starters/settlers Monday to Thursday with the assessment and DIRT worksheets on Friday lessons. Other teachers have used them for homework and filling in gaps.
