German Valentine's Day Quiz & Cloze Exercises

German Valentine’s Day Quiz & Cloze Exercises is a no-prep activities pack containing one quiz, two cloze exercises and an answer key aimed at all age groups from 15 years +.

All activities are written in German and in most cases must be answered in German.

The quiz can be used to test students’ knowledge of the history of St. Valentine and the culture in relation to the day itself.
Question types are multiple-choice and true or false.

The first cloze comprehension is a German love letter in which 20 blank spaces are to be completed by students using a word list provided. Students will find this very useful for testing their knowledge of or for learning new German expressions of love as well as German grammar and vocabulary.

The second cloze comprehension is a piece on the rules of love in which 15 blank spaces are to be completed by students using a word list provided. Following completion of this exercise which also tests grammar and vocabulary, students could then follow up by discussing orally in class whether or not they agree with the rules in the piece and provide their own reasons why or why not.
