Students will be able to celebrate National Haitian heritage month in May with this metal inspired project by designing and constructing their own sculptures in the Haitian tradition of metal art depicting a face. Haitians are known for their unique metal sculptures. A learning objective, subject summary and application in real life, materials needed for each student and the step by step directions needed to create this lesson are all detailed in each of my lesson plans.
