The rhythm activities in this resource are a great way to work on listening and notation skills and connect a word’s sound to the correct rhythm.
PRINTABLE FORMAT
Print off the individual pages as needed or combine them to create a student rhythm workbook.
WHAT IS INCLUDED:
ACTIVITY 1: Students are to notate short rhythms clapped/played by the teacher into the center of the witch’s bubbling cauldron!
A student worksheet and 15 pages of rhythms for the teacher to clap/play are provided for this activity.
ACTIVITY 2: Students are to match the TEN Halloween phrases with the correct rhythm. Each rhythm contains four beats and uses the focus rhythms only!
ACTIVITY 3: Contains TEN more Halloween phrases for which the students are to write a rhythm that matches the words natural flow.
Teacher tips, a student worksheet, and ANSWER sheets are provided for these activities.
