Twenty-one stories about the birth of our nation and significant events that occurred in other parts of the world are covered. From “Life in the American Colonies” in the 1700’s to “The Discovery of the Smallpox Vaccine” in 1796, students will be exposed to sound historical information.
Overall, this unit presents a unique integrated view by including achievements in science, music, world events, and exploration. Comprehension questions follow each story. Time-line activities are included so students can visualize the interaction of events.
