Lesson assists students to develop their knowledge and understanding of the key members of House of York and House of Lancaster and how battles between them caused changes in English Kings in the 15th century. Activities in the lesson prompt students to evaluate which battles in the War of the Roses were most important giving reasons for their choices. Students analyse and evaluate whether Henry VII succeeded to the throne as a result of luck based on the historical evidence they have analysed in the lesson.
