This resource was designed to help students familiarise themselves with an MSDS, that a material safety data sheet exists for all chemicals, and contains safety instructions amongst other things. The Powerpoint walks them through what it is, and using an example, helps them navigate a data sheet.
The accompanying WS is a follow up in the lesson. You can either have individual MSDS sheets for chosen chemical printed out or a variety, or book laptops so that students may do research on their own. The WS may be modified according to your class or scaffolded.
