The following resources uses a fiction article as a stimulus for introducing the role of independent scientists in research.
It is aimed at higher ability Year 9 students developing HSW skills and Year 10 science students. This Task should take 10-20 mins depending on student ability. (This stands alone as a cover lesson if necessary.)
Along with questions based on the information in the article, a second section is included using a more exam based example.
Marks for each question have been suggested but best judgement should be used when assessing student responses.
