This resource pack encourages students to explore both human and natural factors that impact our environment. Students are asked to write a short report that details how we can lessen the human impact on the environment. The report task is aided by a student-friendly checklist so that students can write an effective response. This pack get students thinking about their own ecological impact on their environment (for instance burning of fossil fuels, litter, road building, loss of habitat and biodiversity etc.) and encourages them to come up with appropriate solutions. Some links are also made with Geography due to the natural factors that can be discussed such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, mud slides, forest fires etc. Long answer responses are also designed to improve literacy and scientific thinking skills.
