This PowerPoint takes students through a detailed analysis of the poem. It is ideally suited to Year8/9 classes and is one of the first poems I teach to new classes at the beginning of the year as it introduced them to the terms Structure: Stanza: Line Length: Key Line: Complex Rhyme Scheme: Repetition: Rhythm: Enjambment: Tone and Imagery. The PowerPoint also has a homework task, an oral exercise and a writing task at the end of the presentation.
