Identifying character in fiction unit

This resource is a comprehensive unit which looks at characters in films and in books and the roles they play e.g. role of hero/villain. The unit contains and end-of-unit assessment which helps to prepare Scottish pupils for SQA National 1 assessment units in communication: Identifying characters in fiction. The unit can be used to support learning in any curriculum but was originally designed with a view to support learners in achievement of National 1 SQA unit assessment.

The unit assessment comes with clearly defined success criteria and there are cut and paste activities suitable for ASN/SEN learners. The resource is accessible to middle primary/early secondary learners or those in SEN settings.
