This easy to follow lesson helps students to improve their descriptive writing.

It takes the class through three stages of editing a description of a storm and allows them to practise their descriptive writing, editing their own work until they have an interesting and inspiring piece of description.
The students will learn about:

  • Personification
  • Similes and metaphors
  • Using powerful vocabulary
  • The use of parenthesis
  • How to vary sentences

Teachers can use just the Power Point or copy the passages and paste them into a worksheet for the students to highlight.
