This is a spreadsheet of hundreds of mining accidents in the UK between 1707-1849.
It can be manipulated using the crib sheet included, to help answer any question about the tragedies of this industry.
The aim that I have with it is to help students create their own history, asking questions such as ‘what was the most common type of accident?’, ‘which town in the UK had the most fatalities in mining?’ etc. Then use that to create an infographic, such as the ones included as examples.
