This lesson was used for a middle ability Year 7 class but could be adapted to suit.
Included in the lesson is a rhyme to help students remember the difference between mean, median, mode and range.
(to the tune of Hey Diddle Diddle).
The starter & plenary included are a class based data collection activity which should help to reinforce the meaning of ‘average’ and its application in real life.
There are practice questions covering mean, median, mode and range from a list included in the powerpoint.
