A one-hour lesson introductory lesson on Islam, covering the basics needed for pupils to understand the content of the AQA RE Islamic Beliefs specification.
The lesson gives pupils an understanding of key Muslim beliefs that will be covered in more detail throughout the topic; such as, the Qur’an and other sources of authority, the prophet Muhammad, and the two branches of Islam.
Activities planned aim to develop vital literacy and comprehension skills alongside imparting knowledge of Islam.
