This lesson explores the reasons for why France and Belgium invaded the Ruhr.

This was designed for a mixed ability GCSE class.

Starter: The students need to define some terms they will need for this topic

After completing the filling in the gap work, the students need to watch the video in the blue hyperlink.

After watching this, the students need to collect either a higher ability or a middle ability source sheet.

After this, the students then need to work in pairs (or think, pair, share) and discuss why the French invaded.

Once they have done this, they need to answer the differentiated questions on the board (red - lower; blue - middle; green - higher).

Plenary: Key word bingo.
