Lesson requiring specialist teacher input, designed for high achieving year eight but can be adapted to suit other groups.
Explores the concept of evil in light of the recent Lee Rigby murder.
Aim is to dis-spell some myths/prejudice and explore the concept of Jihad in the classroom.
Potentially sensitive/explosive subject so careful handling will be needed (hence teacher-lead discussion).
Lots of hyperlinks...beware of content (although I have tried to avoid the use of violent images)

This tackles a difficult topic and gives teacher very useful material for dealing with Islamophobia within the school. Thank you very much for sharing your resource.

I was a little bit worried clicking on this, but it is an exceptionally thought-provoking and well-resourced lesson. Would definitely suit a teacher who wants to dispel Islamophobic myths but lacks the specific tools in terms of Quranic textual bits and bobs to put together a lesson. Highly recommended.
