This notebook is based on the story Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. The slides cover approximately two lessons (which could be expanded or shortened). Children examine the dialogue between characters in chapter 1. Then they write their own dialogue between characters. The tasks are differentiated for LA, MA and HA children with differentiated detailed success criteria for dialogue. There are warm up activities too. There is a suggested role play of the dialogue and another lesson which has editing stations so they can revise and edit their work at the end.
