In this activity, students will explore the pivotal events, key figures, and landmark legislation that shaped the American Civil Rights movement from the era of Jim Crow Laws to the Civil Rights Act of 1964. They will gain an understanding of the strategies employed by activists, such as nonviolent protest and legal challenges, to fight against racial segregation and discrimination, and how these efforts led to transformative changes in American society.

It has 12 questions for students to answer, as well as a paragraph response section for them to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.
