One week of English planning based on the story The Way Back Home by Oliver Jeffers, aimed at Y1/KS1. Unit of work includes lessons aimed at looking at the characters emotions, making predictions, adding speech to a story, creating a story map about the story and writing the story in their own words. A really lovely resource ready to use if you have Active Inspire for the flip charts - if not the PDFs are useful for the children's activities. I am looking forward to using these and they have given me lots of ideas and are beautifully presented.
