KS1 / lower KS2 bundle of English genres medium term plans / teaching sequences

Detailed medium term plan teaching sequences that were written for KS1. Units were written to be used within a school that uses their own version of a talk for writing sequence for planning.

The unit details steps to be taken to build up to writing a final piece of work. Although it was written for KS1, it is equally applicable for lower KS2.

There are 6 steps per unit and example sentences are given for assessment standards from WT Yr 1 to GDS Yr 2 in almost all units.

17 units in all, with some units covering more than one genre of writing. A range of poetry, fiction and nonfiction writing included.
