This amazing unit has produced superb and hilarious poems in my class linked to the book ‘Dirty Beasts’ by Roald Dahl during poetry week.
Included is 2 lessons each containing a teaching PowerPoint, worksheets and a WAGOLL (example text to support or model to children). The lessons are outlined below:
Lesson one: Plan a poem in the style of Roald Dahl.
Lesson two: Draft a poem in the style of Roald Dahl.
I did this with a Year 5 class but could easily be adapted to work with a KS2 class.
