KS2 poetry – write a clerihew

This free KS2 poetry resource explores the highly entertaining poetic form of the clerihew and how Lorraine Mariner has used it to write about the careers of sporting legends Lily Parr, Martina Navratilova, Jessica Ennis and Simone Biles, in ‘Great Women of Sport Clerihews’.

There are clear prompts for class activities, a class poem, and individual writing. There is a printable poster of the poem and a stylish blank template for pupils to write up and display their new work. The file type is PDF.
