KS2 Reading Techniques

As English Lead, I designed a set of Reading Posters with techniques which can be used to answer any kind of KS2 SATs-style comprehension questions. These can be used across KS2. Each poster gives the name of the technique and an explanation of how it works. Our results for reading so far this year are looking hugely impressive as a result (including around 30-40% GDS in a cohort of 63). My Reading Comprehensions (which can be downloaded separately) all use SATs questions stems and the KS2 Content Domains and we use the technique on the posters to teach pupils how to answer/understand each questions style i.e Find and Copy, Tick box questions, ‘Suggest’ and ‘Impression’ Questions etc.
