KS2 - Using rounding to estimate and check addition and subtraction calculations

Created for a year 5 class with wide ranging abilities. Contains everything you need for two days of work on addition and subtraction and using rounding to check accuracy. There are starter activities for both days and for independent work there are questions displayed on the PowerPoint differentiated to three levels of ability. Includes recap of how to do subtraction column method including exchanging with zeroes. There is a worksheet of addition word problems and a worksheet of subtraction word problems which can be used as an extension.
