This ‘Who was Jesus?’ RE unit is perfect to use across a half term and is a great way to delve into the stories of Christianity and understand the Bible.

Children will learn all about the life of Jesus and how he took upon himself different roles throughout the Bible.

These five lessons are perfect to be used during a half term, with some flexibility for additional lessons or other school activities. They are fully resourced and planned, with detailed lesson plans provided.

Created by an experienced Religious Education subject lead, these lessons have been used in a real classroom with real students across KS2.

Lessons:

1. Recognise that Jesus was a historical figure but there is no authentic visual image of Him.
2. Understand how a person’s personal beliefs about Jesus can be reflected in the pictures that they create.
3. Consider and present other people’s views on Jesus.
4. Consider what other things I would like to know about Jesus.
5. Learn more about the life of Jesus and appreciate that everyone has different views on Jesus.
6. Present information on Jesus incorporating my own personal beliefs.
