KS3 assessment grids focus on performance and interpersonal (social) skills. The criteria is graded 1-9 and adapted from OCR GCSE PE to stretch across the 9 levels.
Interpersonal skills include:
- Communication
- Teamwork
- Resilience
- Sportsmanship
- Leadership
The performance criteria is split into the following for the varying sports:
- Athletics
- Games (e.g. Basketball, Badminton, Football, Netball, etc.)
- Gymnastics
- Health related fitness (HRF)
- Leadership
Criteria covers most of the core and advanced skills from GCSE OCR PE as well as decision making. Some skills for some sports have been moved to from core to advanced to be achievable at KS3.
