KS3 French - The present tense - Mon temps libre

This is a lesson that I normally use to introduce the grammar of the present tense to an able Year 7 class or as a recap with Y8/9 pupils.

I start by introducing pronouns and verb endings and slowly building up to adding correct verb endings. Most vocab used should already be familiar or decipherable eg. Je fais de la gymnastique, J’aime faire du sport, Ma soeur regarde la tele.

This builds up to a translation exercise, a text for pupils to put in the correct order and questions linked to it, and finally a structure for a written paragraph.

This could be spread over two lessons or a lesson + a homework.
