This resource was created as part of a non-fiction scheme of work for KS3 students getting them to consider the purpose, audience and format of non-fiction text types. The lesson(s) resulted in students creating their own charity and writing a charity advert transcript for a television advert. I then got students to film their own charity advert using a class set of iPads using iMovie. Students found this engaging and something different to newspaper articles and formal letter writing.
