These can be displayed on the board as a quiz or presented to students as a puzzle pack to work through at their own pace.
Students need to work out the value of ‘x’ and ‘y’ (which have been replaced with Christmas items) using their knowledge of how to approach simultaneous equations.
They need to be familiar with…
- How to create their own simultaneous equations from a scenario
- How to cancel equations through use of addition and subtraction
- How to multiply one or both equations so that this is possible.
