This fully resourced lesson introduces new students to working safely in the lab. It is designed for Year 7 students and covers the following topics:
-The importance of lab safety
-Common lab safety equipment
-Hazard symbols and their meanings
-How to identify and avoid hazards in the lab
-What to do in the event of an accident
Aimed at a mixed ability Year 7 class.
Lesson contains:

●Student passport: This passport allows students to track their progress through the lesson and earn stamps for completing activities.
●Certificate of completion: This certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete the unit (introduction to the lab).
