✏ This is an interactive read aloud lesson plan for a 4-5 day Comprehensive Literacy Language Workshop for the mentor text book Last Stop on Market Street by Matt De La Peña. The plans include a teacher script with strategic stopping points and questions for students along with anchor chart ideas. It also includes printable prompts for student responses in writing or thoughtful logs. This book is also great for dual language / dual immersion classrooms as this book is also available in Spanish under the title Ultima parada en la calle Market. This lesson is focused on a theme of community, descriptive language / author’s craft, lessons learned, and close reading but can easily be modified for other uses.
