My dear Reader,

This lesson is the sixteen one of a set on American West. ; It looks at the aw enforcers and their historical importance in the West of US. It aims to have students matching knowledge on ranching and answering exam questions.
All lessons are interactive, have a same-model structure to get the students taught in a coherent manner, and always understand where they are at in their learning:

LO 1:Understanding the figures involved in law enforcement in the West
LO 2: To explain their role
LO3: To evaluate their impact on the justice system

All tasks are assessed.
A very straight forward lesson.
The resources are at the end of the Power Point.
I also made a lesson 17 on Wyatt Earp and a 15 on Billy the Kid. Also I made a set of work on Law and order.

You might want to look at the sets on Plain Indians, Settlers and Development of the Plains, Law and Order, or the full unit

Alessio
