This assembly looks into Lent. It talks through what Lent is, when and why we celebrate it and the story behind it. The students have an interactive part to name the most common vices people give up for lent and the assembly also looks at popular ‘new’ vices.
The assembly finishes by showing students Lent is more than just giving up something, its about giving, generosity and making a positive contribution. There is also collective challenges for Forms or Schools to use if appropriate.
