This is a PowerPoint presentation to support the second context poster of the Forensics Project, which is part of the JACOSA scheme. It is the third part of this learning sequence and the final part of the training element of this project.
Professor Charles Hobbles has been found dead in his laboratory and a young team of forencic scientists are being trained to use what is in their kit bag.
In this lesson pupils look at the system of labelling hazardous chemicals in science.
The PowerPoint includes 6 slides, which can be used as posters to introduce pupils to the different symbols.
During the lesson pupils play a card game using the labelling cards and then apply their learning by thinking about how to control the risks of different chemicals when they are being used in the laboratory.
