Level 1 Functional Skills Maths - Division

This resource has been designed for students working towards Functional Skills Maths qualifications at Level 1 (Edexcel-Pearson, NCFE, City and Guilds, AQA, Highfield Qualifications, NOCN and Open Awards). It contains an age-appropriate, 39-page workbook and a 170-slide Powerpoint lesson on division.

PowerPoint Lesson

The editable PowerPoint lesson demonstrates how to divide large numbers and express remainders. It provides many opportunities for pupils to practise these skills and contains real-life number problems involving division. The PowerPoint has links to 4 short videos on division, using the reverse to check calculations, dividing money and dividing whole numbers and decimals by 10, 100 and 1000. It is an ideal resource to introduce the division component of the specification and for revision purposes.
