Library Activity Pack: Transport on the Move Activity Book

The activities in the Transport on the Move Activity Book involve the use and extension of “thinking” strategies such as Mind Mapping®, brainstorming, problem reversal, lateral thinking and forced analogies. The tasks are designed to enhance the development of cognitive and affective processes such as risk taking, applied imagination, originality, curiosity, flexibility and elaboration.

This Photocopy Masters book contains a set of task cards ideally suited to a library learning centre. The cards are designed to promote the use of creative thinking skills based around the topic of transport and are to be used in conjunction with the Transport on the Move Resource Book.

Activities cover a range of exciting concepts in areas such as vehicle vocabulary, “flighty” career paths, and animal astronauts. Opportunities to develop original vehicle designs and innovative transports are sure to get the wheels of ingenuity turning. The Transport on the Move Activity Book aims to give students the drive to learn more about transport – a vital part of their everyday lives.
