Designed for teachers to deliver (specialist and non-specialists) but I have found more & more students need to access resources independently so my lessons are structured in a way that students can navigate for remote learning or to catch up on missed content. Can also be used for a flipped learning approach.
Lesson contains:
Concise learning objectives - referred to through the lesson to check learning has occurred.
Describe factors effecting the rate of reaction.
Describe and explain limiting factors.
Includes detailed answers to all tasks.
Teaching time approx 1hour.
The PowerPoint is fun and interactive with a range of tasks to keep students engaged following the traditional starter, main, plenary format. There is also a worksheet for independent work (graph paper is needed).
Students will learn new content and will have opportunity to practise exam and data analysis skills as per the specification.

Inverse square law (higher tier) Respiration full set of lessons that teach all the content from AQA specification Unit 4 Bioenergetics, 4.4.2 Respiration. Each lesson should take about 1hour to teach, but you can easily adapt them to your own lesson timings. 1. Aerobic respiration 2. Aerobic respiration (& the effect of exercise) 3. Anaerobic respiration in yeast & plants 4. Metabolism Using a detailed and engaging PowerPoint the students work their way through the content with a range of whole class quizzes, paired and individual activities. The lessons are well structured and include differentiated activities. Worksheets are included for students to complete (all answers are present on the PowerPoint) with a variety of activities such as labelling diagrams and answering exam style questions (plus exam tips from an experienced exam board assessor). Also includes some revision materials, perfect to support your Year 11 students before sitting their exams. There is both scaffolding and challenge so differentiation runs throughout (most of my classes are mixed ability so I am used to have to both nurture and extend at the same time!) .
