Linear Sequences Missing Term Secret Code

An engaging activity which is quick and easy to mark with progression and an extension activity ready to go.

Questions are linear sequences both ascending and descending where pupils have to find next term. Final 10 require pupils to find missing term which isn’t the final term of 4 e.g 7, __, 13, 16, 19

Pupils must answer the questions and then shade answers in the number grid to reveal a hidden picture of a secret code e.g. 8LC

Pupils really engage and enjoy the challenge of trying to find the secret code.

The activity is incredibly quick to flash mark or assess whilst circulating as a correct answer is obvious due to the visual image. There is a create your own extension activity also provided.
