This is a fresh take on the suicide of Lady Macbeth. By using 21st Century medical guidelines, the students put themselves in the role of a doctor. It also helps students become aware of real signs of depression. This was taught to a class where some students felt uncomfortable with suicide but all engaged well with the factual subject matter and clinical detachment.
They formed insightful observations throughout and this later fed into their assessment questions.
