This Teach, Practise, Extend PowerPoint resource focuses on measuring and drawing angles and is linked to the Year 5 National Curriculum. In total there are a massive twelve slides:
Slides 1- 10 (teach) - Slides 1 - 3 show gthe different types of angle including acute, obtuse and right angle. Slides 4 - 10 show how to use a protractor to measure an angle.
Slide 11 (practise) - Children are asked to draw four different angles using a protractor.
Slide 12 (extend) - Children need to apply their skills by drawing three different shapes with different properties.
The resource is colourfully designed and can clearly be seen from a distance making it ideal to display on the Interactive Whiteboard and providing you with a straightforward and highly effective teaching resource. Great for a lesson starter, revision or early morning activity. It is aimed at the Year 5 maths objective but can be used at any time during KS2.
