This is resource contains an exercise that gets the children to practice using a ruler; as well as a presentation on converting units of measure.
The worksheet asks students to measure the lines with their rulers. They then must convert from cm to mm. As an extension at the end, they are required to draw their own lines based on a length given in centimetres.
The presentation goes through how to convert from mm to cm, and from cm to m. There are exercised along the way to get the children practicing.
This lesson is suited for a Year 4 class or could be used for revision with Year 5.
The answers to the lengths are also included.
