Teacher resources for a 90 minute lesson on the concepts of direct intent and oblique intent as elements of mens rea in criminal law from e-lawresources. Contains a powerpoint and worksheet (student and teacher copy with answers). Suitable for courses at level 3 including A level law, BTEC & law modules on Access to HE . The lesson accompanies the Youtube clip on the topic created by e-lawresources. The 5 question starter on the power point relates to legal causation. This can be changed if you have not yet studied this topic. The lesson should take approx 90 mins. In addition to the starter, there is a review activity, a video, 4 think pair share scenarios and a plenary. There are suggested timings in the powerpoint at the end of the slide. There are links to further activities on the topic if you need to fill time.
