Year 2 Maths Mastery Pack

These are a range of activities/tasks to demonstrate mastery and develop deeper thinking and deeper understanding of year 2 Multiplication and Division objectives. For each objective there are at least 4 activities/tasks along with answers (where possible). The document is set up so that you can quickly jump to the objective you are covering and then simply print the appropriate pages.

Objectives covered:

Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables, including recognising odd and even numbers
Calculate mathematical statements for multiplication and division within the multiplication tables and write them using the multiplication (×), division (÷) and equals (=) signs
Show that multiplication of 2 numbers can be done in any order (commutative) and division of 1 number by another cannot
Solve problems involving multiplication and division, using materials, arrays, repeated addition, mental methods, and multiplication and division facts, including problems in contexts
