MYP Maths Assessment task for MYP4 or 5 students.
Assessing MYP Objectives B and C.
In this task students will have to design their own patterns, find general rules, verify and justify these rules. The students can investigate linear, quadratic or geometric sequences. Task specific rubrics are included.
Unfortunately, this assessment item is a bare bones items and not up to MYP assessment standards or even close? There is only one document in the zip file and the task is not even really clear. Extremely disappointing!

Hi, sorry that you are not happy with this. Perhaps I can provide some extra context. The task was designed with no scaffolding in it as I wanted students to really use their investigation skills to design their own sequence, and find a relationship. Students needed to use their own communication skills and not be told what to do.
In terms of MYP Assessment Standards - the task definitely meets those. This assessment was discussed in a MYP Assessment workshop and was deemed to be good. The rubric will give guidance on how the task can be assessed.
